I traveled to Belize with a group to build homes that are raised up on stilts for people who live in wet, flood-prone areas.
After a devastating flood in Calgary, Canada, I flew up as a part of the same group and helped rebuild houses there.
After a disaster in North Dakota, I traveled to Minot to do similar work. Much of the work consisted of general carpentry and dry-walling, and restoring flood-damaged areas, parks and benches.
I am also a long time participant of the Cardboard Box city, an annual fundraiser for Family Promise, which helps homeless families in the Gallatin Valley to get back on their feet.
As part of the First Presbyterian Church in Bozeman, I have participated in numerous other smaller acts of community service, such as working at the food bank, etc.
